A bright eyed wee toutouwai / South Island Robin stands his ground while checking us out. Their apparently friendly demeanour when you encounter them in the bush is actually the feisty wee things trying to staunch us out if we get too near their nests.

He has been carefully painted using traditional watercolour techniques, subtle washes of cream, ochre, sienna and various hues of greys have been layered up to create a richness and depth to the colours within the toutouwai's feathers. It is then professionally printed using archival inks on Hahnemuhle William Turner 310gms cotton rag paper. This particular paper is just gorgeous, it has the appearance of water-colour paper and has been specifically created for longevity when used with pigmented inks.
Your treasure will be shipped to you carefully encased in cellophane (you can put this in your compost) and posted within a sturdy reinforced envelope to prevent it from being damaged in the post.
