Gelli plate printing is a fun, easy way to create wonderful surfaces & textures as well as more resolved art works. This workshop will introduce you to the basic elements that will allow you to explore your creativity and produce some successful mono prints. We will be using botanical based imagery to inspire us but you are also free to bring your own ideas too. No drawing or painting ability is required. For those with solid art making facility I can show you a range of different ways you can use your skills to explore the process further.

Set in a fun and nurturing environment in the heart of Wanaka. This class is aimed anyone; beginners or those who are practicing artists, who would love to try out the process and develop some understanding of gelli plate and mono printing techniques.

All materials are provided including some carefully crafted and curated collage sheets.

Your tutor is Lizzie Thomas who paints under the moniker ellaquaint. She is a registered teacher and has a wealth of knowledge teaching at Secondary School Level as well after school kids classes and adult night classes and workshops. A practicing and exhibiting artist who has work in national and international collections. With over 28 years experience, she is excited to share her knowledge with you :)
