Plein Air Private Session

We are so lucky with the stunning scenery we have in Wanaka and Lake Hawea. What better way to capture it your experience of it than to create your own watercolour painting!

Plein air painting involves painting directly in nature, with your amazing scene before you. It is so much more immediate than painting from a photo. It is a wonderful bonding session for a parent / creative child, a couple, friends who are travelling or locals who just love their home.

2 people is $210 for a 2 hour session.

Please get in touch should you like to paint for longer or if you have a larger group who would love to do a session.

Have in mind too what / where you would like to paint.

Day / time to be negotiated, please contact me to discuss.

Lessons will be weather dependant so we will have a back up day. Rain and watercolour are a little too chaotic and strong winds can make painting it difficult / less enjoyable ;)

Good entry level materials are provided. You are of course welcome to bring your own.

Your tutor is Lizzie Thomas who paints under the moniker ellaquaint. She is a registered teacher and has a wealth of experience teaching at Secondary School. She has also taught after school kids classes, adult night classes, plein air and workshops. In addition to that she has been a practicing and exhibiting artists with over 28 years experience. She is so excited to share her knowledge with you :)
