Artrageous! Robots - a school holiday art workshop April 2025
Robots is a rad day where we get to make a fabulous mixed media art work using pastel, coloured pencil and dye, based on our favourite robot.
Create a fun, futuristic scene based on your favourite robot character or cyborg! Would it be Roz? IG 11? Wall E? R2D2? Rodney? The Terminator? Marvin the Paranoid Android? There are countless possibilities!
My amazing helper Tori will be joining us to assist.
This is a class that is designed to cater to different abilities and ages from 7 +

What to bring
Snacks, lunch and a water bottle
I do advise students to wear old clothes as we will be painting.
A jersey and shoes for when we have breaks outside.
As with all of the holiday workshops, we will have a few breaks to run around and play. It further creates a sense of fun, burns off energy and it gets the students mixing together and making new friends. Older students are always welcome to continue on their artwork if they are in that flow state and that is what they wish to do.
I do ask that students enrolled in all Artrageous School Holiday workshops are able to / try to sit and listen to instruction and have some self-management skills. If that is not always the case, please feel free to email me if you think that a chat could be useful.
The class is taught by Lizzie Thomas who paints under the moniker ellaquaint, an animal lover and painter from way back. She is a registered teacher and has a wealth of experience teaching at Secondary School Level as well after school kids classes, adult night classes and workshops. A practicing and exhibiting artist with over 30 years experience, she is excited to share her knowledge with you :)
