Art Intro - Little Art School - Term 1 2025

Art Intro is back and better than ever!

Build your art-making skills in a fun and nurturing environment in the heart of Wanaka. This class is aimed at beginners as well as intermediates who are a little rusty. We will explore over the basics of how to draw realistically, there will be tricks to extend those of you who are confident with the pencil. A colour theory exercize is a wonderful way to play with colour mixing. There is the opportunity to explore both watercolour and acrylic paint and the basic techniques used with both media. I have refined the course to allow for a more relaxing pace of learning. It will lead wonderfully into Paint Club which aims to start back up in Term 2.

Your tutor is Lizzie Thomas who paints under the moniker ellaquaint. She is a registered teacher and has a wealth of knowledge teaching at Secondary School Level as well after school kids classes and adult night classes and workshops. A practicing and exhibiting artist who has work in national and international collections. With over 28 years experience, she is excited to share her knowledge with you :)

Max students 10 per class. A min of 6 students to run the course.
