This super fun gelli plate printing workshop allows you to explore a range of techniques; working up layers, stencils, masking, charcoal transfer and laser print transfers. You can email me a couple of your own images* for me laser print to use or used those provided. Whether you would like to be more whimsical in your creative play or be more focused in your exploration, this course caters to everyone.
No drawing or painting ability is required. For those with solid art making facility or print making experience, I can show you a range of different ways you can use your skills to explore the process further. Set in a fun and nurturing environment in the heart of Wanaka. This class is aimed anyone; beginners or those who are practicing artists, who would love to try out the process or further develop some understanding of gelli plate and mono printing techniques.

A range of materials are provided. If you have some textures and stencils or stamps you would like to try out, please feel free to bring them along.

We will stop for a half hour break at lunch. You might like to wear old clothes and bring a water bottle, snacks and lunch.
*I will send out details to help you select your best images for me to laser print, that you can work from.
Max students 10 per class. Min 6 to run the class.
Your tutor is Lizzie Thomas who paints under the moniker ellaquaint. She is a registered teacher and has a wealth of knowledge teaching at Secondary School Level as well after school kids classes and adult night classes and workshops. A practicing and exhibiting artist who has work in national and international collections. With over 28 years experience, she is excited to share her knowledge with you :)
